Food for thought. That geometry you learned in high school might come in handy one day!
Facing difficulties has equipped me with valuable abilities that I've been able to apply in my professional life. I recall times working for my father and later on for a highway contractor where I was part of the procurement process with various government entities. At that time, I hadn't anticipated that I would ever revisit such procurement practices in my future career. Yet, here I am, over 15 years later, with my own business, regularly involved in submitting bids within the municipal sector. It's a testament to how skills learned in one context can surprisingly become relevant and open new opportunities later in life.
I believe it’s worthwhile to maintain a list of your tangible soft skills and leadership qualities, as it can help you revisit and identify ways to leverage them in the future. Looking back, this is definitely something I wish I had done throughout my career.
Although writing has always been a passion of mine, venturing into the realm of writing deeply personal narratives is new to me. However, my experience with other forms of writing has given me confidence in my ability to succeed in this endeavor as well.
As for geometry, I still don’t have a handle on it!
