Driving Blindfolded: Navigating the Turns of Vulnerability in Writing.

ree

Writing, especially when you are not totally sure what will end up on the other side, can be a bit frightening. Kind of like driving a car with your eyes closed.  I've spent much of my life writing—whether in academic, technical, or business settings—but this time feels different. I'm not writing about what I know; I'm writing about what I feel. I’m writing about some of the hardest life experiences I have had. For some reason, the vulnerability of sharing those deeply personal parts of myself has been especially challenging.

This writing project involves sharing personal experiences that have typically been below the surface, things I have only mildly talked about. I hesitated to write about these experiences for the fear of being exposed and vulnerable.

Real growth often happens when we step beyond the boundaries of our comfort zone. Writing this book became my way of challenging myself, seeking healing, and to discover new possibilities as I share my journey with others. I hope you will stay for the ride!
